Tandoori Chicken Karahi Recipe

 




Here is a recipe for Tandoori Chicken Karahi:

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp tandoori masala
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 cup water
  • Chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Add the chicken and mix well to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  2. Heat the oil in a karahi or large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onions and fry until golden brown.
  3. Add the tomato paste, red chili powder, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. Stir to combine.
  4. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Add the water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan. Enjoy!
