Doner Sandwich Recipe



 Here is a simple recipe for a classic doner sandwich:

Ingredients:

  • 4 pita breads
  • 2 cups thinly sliced doner meat
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons hot sauce
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the pita breads on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until they are lightly toasted.
  3. In a pan over medium heat, cook the doner meat until it is heated through and slightly crispy on the edges.
  4. Assemble the sandwiches by dividing the lettuce, tomato, onion, and doner meat among the four pita breads.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt and hot sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Spread the yogurt sauce over the inside of each pita bread.
  7. Fold the pita breads in half and serve immediately.
