Here is a recipe for garlic naan without yeast that you can try at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the yogurt and milk.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 5-10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Preheat a griddle or large pan over medium-high heat.
  7. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  8. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball of dough into a thin circle.
  9. Brush one side of the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with minced garlic and cilantro (if using).
  10. Place the dough, butter-side-down, onto the preheated griddle or pan.
  11. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until bubbles start to form on the surface.
  12. Flip the naan and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until it is lightly browned.
  13. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  14. Serve the naan warm, with your choice of dipping sauces or toppings. Enjoy!
